On Thursday, October 3, 2024, the Director-General of the National Food Assistance Agency (NFAA), Hon. Borkai A.M. Sirleaf, led a delegation of senior management officials from the agency to visit the office of the Minister of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), Hon. Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan.
The primary purpose of the visit was to congratulate Hon. Ngafuan on his recent appointment as the Minister of Finance and Development Planning. However, the meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss several pertinent issues related to the government’s ongoing efforts to rebrand the NFAA, a process being carried out with the support of various partners.
During the meeting, Minister Ngafuan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to rebranding and repositioning the NFAA, emphasizing the importance of the agency’s work in addressing food security and support for vulnerable populations. He also expressed his confidence in the continued fruitful collaboration between the NFAA and the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning. Notably, the MFDP plays a key role as the Co-Chair on the board of the National Food Assistance Agency, making the partnership between the two institutions critical to the agency’s success.
